The Hourglass Go-To Lip

2014 was the year of the lip liner for me, and since discovering Charlotte Tilbury's Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk during the Summer, I've been almost unable to complete any lipstick application without a swipe of the stuff. If you fancy reading more on my CT pencil-form love, head this way, however, if you're alternatively in the mood to be seriously enabled, read on and let me share with you my current go-to lip combo courtesy of the exceptionally awesome, Hourglass.

Hourglass initially came into my life on a December trip to the brand's counter in John Lewis, York (post here) and from receiving several products for Christmas from the very generous Santa Claus, I became immediately obsessed. From their eyeliner and blush, to their lipstick and powders, Hourglass seriously know how to kick-ass in the make up department. Whilst all that will be shared on my blog in the near future, today I'm focusing on the lip combo you simply need in your stash.

Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Canvas - If you've seen my original Hourglass post, you'll already be familiar with Megan. During my mini makeover session in John Lewis, Megan asked about the kind of make up I generally liked to sport. With my obsession of lip products, I instantly replied a matte lip, and it was then that my eyes met the Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Canvas. I'd heard a lot about the Opaque Rouge's, and Canvas turned out to be the exact kind of shade I like to wear - a beautiful soft rose. Whilst the rich formula of the lipstick allows it to feel nourishing on the lips, the stuff is seriously waterproof. You can eat, drink, smooch... this stuff ain't comin' off without your cleanser in hand. Canvas has remained on my lips almost everyday since Christmas, and there's not one thing I dislike about it. Long-lasting, pretty, and surprisingly moisuturising, what more could a gal want?

Hourglass Panoramic Long Wear Lip Liner in Eden - Although the Opaque Rouge Lipsticks stand just fine on their own, combined with the Hourglass Lipliner in Eden, you've got yourself the pout combination of dreams. Eden can be sported on it's own to enhance the lips, or underneath your lipstick of choice to help add that extra bit of longevity. Like the Opaque Rouge, the Panoramic lip liners are water-resistant, creamy and highly pigmented. The super handy brush on the dual-end pencil also does a great job at ensuring the product is evenly distributed ready for any required layering. Whilst I was yet to find a liner to compete with my Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat, Hourglass's offering may just have it in the bag.

Are you a fan of Hourglass? Have you tried the brand's lip products?
