I'm not really one to upload a review onto my blog after a few days of using a product, I like to give it a good test run beforehand. But for this, I'll make an exception. Lush's Dream Cream is something I'd heard a fair bit about, however whenever I happened to wander into a Lush store, I'd always be drawn to the bad ass bath bombs.
I've suffered from Keratosis Pilaris on-and-off for several years now. If you're not entirely on sure what that is, it's basically tiny little red bumps (similar in appearance to goose-pimples) that can appear on the skin, predominantly on the upper arms and thighs. It's not painful, or particularly noticeable at a single glance, it's just not pleasant. A hereditary condition, it usually goes away as you age.
Since it decided to flare up on me not so long ago, I did a little research on products that help to sooth the affected areas. Minutes after typing KP into Google, I was met with review after review on Dream Cream. Supposedly the 'dream cream' for sufferers of those pesky little bumps, I literally hopped, skipped and jumped my way to Lush.
So far I've been using the cream for just under a week, applying once or twice each day. Basically, it's pure awesomeness in a tub. Although I've barely made a dent in the packaging, it's already showing it's results on my skin. Obviously the bumps are still there, but they're starting to look less apparent, which is a pretty big deal as I've tried so many different things over the years, all having no real results.
The consistency is quite thin for a lotion, however I really like this as it means I can get dressed straight after without having that sticky residue left on my skin. Several comments I read on blogs before purchasing said the actual smell of the product wasn't all that great, but I personally love it - it's very soothing, thanks to the lavender oil ingredient.
Coming in at £11.50, it's not the cheapest body moisturiser out there, but for something that helps rid those darn bumps, it's a price I'm more than willing to pay.
Have you tried Dream Cream?
I just bought this too! I really like it, it's really hydrating without being too heavy :) Great review :) xx
