Party Season Styling With Monsoon & Accessorize

I was recently contacted by the marketing team at Monsoon/Accessorize asking if I would like to create a post on styling for the party season.

Well, since New Years Eve is upon us (a.k.a. tomorrow) I thought it would be pretty good timing to whip one up.

I decided to separate into three categories. Whether you're heading out straight from work, celebrating with a few drinks or perhaps attending a lavish event - I've got it covered.

Starting off with Vintage Glamour. As you can see from the image above, the inspiration behind this look comes straight from the 1920s. Of course this Downton-eque look isn't all that appropriate if you're heading to a rave tomorrow night. However if a high-end bar/party is on your agenda, then this look is a definite thumbs up.

Lots of sparkle is required for this look. Sparkle, and a bold lip/nail combo. However be sure to keep the eye makeup simple with this look as the pout needs to be the main focus. Hair-wise, there's a few options. Style in a sleek up-do or add some waves throughout your locks. Alternatively, f you have a short bob, then this is the perfect opportunity for you to rock it! Finish off with a clip/headband, and you're ready to part the night away!

Cocktail Hour is again, the perfect look  for those with rather sophisticated plans for the 2014 countdown. This lacy number is a timeless piece and looks best as the star off the show, when styled with simple, jewelled accessories.

To finish off the wintery attire, a bronze smokey cat-eye paired with a nude, glossy lip.

This plaited up-do will highlight the beautiful neckline of the LBD whilst keeping your locks away from your face.

Finally, this look is for those whose attire will be lasting morning through to night. Working all day long doesn't have to mean you can't get a little dressed up.

This embellished top is the perfect combination of sexiness and sophistication. A blazer thrown over the top will fit in with the office vibe whilst keeping the chills at bay once the evening strikes.

Since a clutch doesn't leave much room - make sure you only pack the essentials. A primer will keep your skin looking flawless well after the clock strikes 12, whilst glossy lips and a smudge to the eye screams subtle sass.

The 60s ponytail is the ideal hairstyle for an AM to PM look. Laid-back, easy to style and suits many an event.

Three looks, one night. Which one will you be sporting?
