Nuxe Rêve de Miel Lip Balm

Clearly I'm a sucker for all the cult products floating around the blogosphere as of late. This time, it's the Nuxe Rêve de Miel Lip balm.

Designed for those with dry, chapped lips (which I suppose is 90% of the population this time of year) this baby is 15g of pure awesomeness. I decided to switch up my lip balm after falling out of love with the (again, cult) Dr. Lipp Nipple Balm. Although my lips appeared to initially love it, fast forward a couple of weeks, my smackers were left cracked to the point that they would bleed. Awesome. As I so badly wanted to like the stuff, I took a break and gave it another go. The result? Exactly the same. I even went so far to buy another tube all together as my tube had somehow split from the heat (I was on holiday) and yet again, my lips were left looking sore.

Step in Nuxe Rêve de Miel.

After giving my lips a while to sort themselves out, I was then swayed to pick up a cheeky jar of this after reading endless blog posts.

I find that the texture of the balm is quite waxy, however once applied it feels very light on the lips. Less is definitely more with this. It takes a while to sink into the lips, so applying too much can make it a little difficult if you're wanting to add a lip colour over the top. That being said, if you apply a little amount then it acts as a great base.

Although it's not the most hydrating of lip balms, it still manages to do a great job at keeping my lips soft.

I picked mine up from FeelUnique where it retails at £9.50.

Have you tried Nuxe Rêve de Miel?

  1. I had the same problem with the Dr Lipp balm - it worked great at first but I think my lips started to rely on it so when I used something else, it made them so dry and cracked! I'm not straying from my Nuxe now, it's so good <3 xx

  2. This sounds and looks really lovely, thank you for the review! xx
