As you may have read in my previous post, The GreatBritish Farm Project (or GBFP for short) is an independent setup which both rescues and gives sanctuary to animals in need. Single-handedly run by the mind-blowingly awesome couple, Stephen and Tracey; both have entirely dedicated their lives to their farm.
As mentioned in the previous blog, the reason for the Saint Kidd team spending the day at the farm was to carry out a photo shoot featuring a handful of the farm’s animals. Tom Leishman shot the photos, whilst we all helped make sure everything went to plan.
The shoot
took place in one of the barns on the farm, and although trying to fit the
larger animals in front of the camera was initially a bit of a challenge – once
we added in a bit of bribing of jam sandwiches (Butch the pig I’m looking at
you…) it was all systems go.
Just so you
can all get a grasp of just how BIG Butch is – here’s a photo of a wall he casually strolled through…Whoops.
The final
result from the day’s shoot is a calendar, which is available, here. The images are unlike anything you will have ever seen
before; poles apart from your typical animal calendar. Each shot is incredibly distinctive as you
can really get a feel of each animal’s personality and life story from just a
single glance.
All of the money received from the calendars will go towards funding for the GBFP – so it really is going to a good cause. If you’re interested in finding out more information on the Great British Farm Project, or perhaps making a donation, then check out their website, here.
To finish
off, here’s a couple of behind the scenes pics for you all to feast your eyes on...
Just a small amount of the free range
chickens at Hesbert Hall.
William the
Kidd and his best pal, Rich.
We mixed it up a bit here… William took this shot.
Photo shoot set.
And finally, who else but William could finish off this blog?
I hope y’all have thoroughly enjoyed the Great British Farm
Project themed posts, and be sure to check out the website for more information,
