Haircare Routine.

So just a heads up, this is gonna be one seriously Bumble heavy blog post.

If there's one brand that consistently rocks it in the hair department, it's Bumble & Bumble. Whether your hair's long, short, fine or chewbacca, they'll no doubt have a product to keep your mane intact.

Personally, I have very thick hair with a slight wave to it. In the winter, it unsurprisingly comes in pretty damn handy at keeping my head warm, and in the summer? Well let's just say things get a little toasty.

So now we're entering the warmer months (let's hope I haven't just jinxed that), I thought I'd type up a little post sharing my current hair must-haves...

For shampoo, I like to mix it up with two products, one significantly cheaper than the other. The Boots Expert Build Up Removal Shampoo is admittedly, not the most glamorously packaged product, but when you're spending £3.49, you can't really expect too much. I posted a review last year, and it still stands as one of my favourites for ridding any unwanted product build-up. Whilst that's firmly reserved for Sundays, on the other 'hair wash' days of the week, the Bumble & Bumble Surf Foam Wash Shampoo comes into action. Think low maintenance, fuss-free locks with a hint of grit. Nothing too much, but it just gives a little extra somethin' somethin' to locks.

Naturally the effects are pretty similar to the Bumble & Bumble Surf Creme Rinse Conditioner. Unlike many on the market, this nourishes the hair without weighing it down. Combine that with the addition of body and texture and you've got yourself one great product.

When I want to give my hair a little extra TLC, the Weleda Oat Replenishing Treatment* and Philip Kingsley Elastisizer Extreme come up top. I like to coat my locks in one of the two before bed, and come the morning it resembles Rapunzel. Ok maybe not, but it leaves it feeling a whole lot softer.

For styling, I like to up the ante even more with the whole 'beachy' side of things. The Bumble & Bumble Texture Hair (un)dressing Creme (oop, told you I dig the brand) mattifies the hair, adds hold and a tousled, undone-yet-done finish. Me likey.

Heat defense wise, it's all about the Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Primer. This protects against UV damage, breakage and the dreaded frizz situation I suffer from oh-so much. The mini bottle also makes it uber handy for your travels.

A spritz of the Bumble (I have a problem) Surf Spray when hair is completely dry brings everything together, however for the times I'm looking for a helping hand in the whole gloss department, the Lee Stafford Shine Head Spray* gets a big thumbs up.

So there we have it, my current haircare routine. For someone whose hair resembles a birds nest half the time I sure do use a lot of product...

Do you share my love of Bumble & Bumble? I'm currently eyeing up the brand's latest launch, Surf Infusion, 'cos a girl can never have too many beach babe-esque beauty treats.  Am I right or am I right?

What are your favourite products to use on your locks?

  1. I haven't tried any Bumble Bumble products, but my hair sounds very similar to yours! At the moment I'm loving the LUSH jungle fever conditioner to tame my frizzy mane during this humid time

  2. I've not been able to find that Boots shampoo anywhere, I really want to try it. I'm also behind on the Bumble & bumble hype, the Surf products definitely sound amazing.
