During a weekend visit to Monks Cross shopping park in York, myself and my Mum ventured into the newly opened John Lewis. Browsing the (seriously amazing) selection of beauty counters, we stumbled across Hourglass. If you're a regular reader of blogs, it's likely that you'll already be familiar with Hourglass. Beautifully crafted and exquisitely packaged, the brand offer a wide range of luxury makeup treats to beauty lovers.Whilst it's pricier than your everyday makeup brand, the quality and appearance completely justify this.
After spending a minute (or five) ogling what the brand's counter had to offer, the lovely Megan approached both myself and my Mum with an invitation to be treated to a mini makeover using a selection of Hourglass's products tailored to suit both our complexions and tastes. As you can imagine, we jumped at the chance.
Whilst removing our makeup, Megan asked about our skin and the types of products we liked to wear on an everyday basis. Talking through each as she applied, the makeover left me feeling clued up on the brand, giving me the opportunity to test out the products I'd been lusting after for so long.
The session was a real treat (with the addition of Prosecco if you like a drink!) and we left with a few new exciting purchases - a few of which I was very excited to unwrap yesterday morning thanks to my beautiful Mum!
Thanks so much to Megan for the lovely experience and I hope to be heading to the Hourglass counter again very soon. I will also be posting a review of my beauty shaped Christmas treats from the brand so keep checking back for that.
I hope you're all having a wonderful Christmas!
