James Arthur Newcastle City Hall

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited along to see James Arthur at City Hall in Newcastle by Capital FM. I'm have to say I'm quite the fan of his voice, so I was really looking forward to seeing him do his thaang. 

The night started off with a performance with the gorgeous and bubbly, Tich. 

I wasn't actually aware of her before the evening, but from watching her sing, I was sure as hell asking myself ''how?!''. Stunning voice. James isn't her first tour companion either. Having previously hit the road with everyone from Paolo Nutini and JLS to Justin Bieber and Pixie Lott, Titch is well on her way to success. Her upcoming single, Breath in Breath Out, also happens to be co-wrote with no other than Nick Jonas.

Then, James made an appearance on stage. At this point, I was a little scared.  Never have I see so many fully-grown women go weak at the knees at once. He really is a stud with the ladies. 

With a full (and awesome) band behind him, James sung hits such as Impossible and You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You, along with other, equally rad, songs from his self-titled album. It was when his rather seductive version of Lets Get It On began to play, that the crowd really did go wild. A woman stood in the row in front of myself (with her teenage daughter, may I add) reached down, pulled a bra out of her bag, and flung it at the stage. And then again. Plenty of other undergarments were thrown onto the stage during the hour and a half performance, but luckily for James, non managed to land on him.

Overall I had a really awesome night and was blown away by James' flawless voice. I've since had all his songs on repeat thanks to Spotify!
