Megan Ellaby's Manchester Charity Clothes Sale.

On Sunday, Matt and myself headed to Manchester (a.k.a my favourite City on the planet) for what I could only describe as one seriously incredible event.

I'm pretty certain you will have heard when the ultimate blogger babe, Megan Ellaby, announced that she would be hosting a charity clothing sale, set up to raise money for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund. With clothing, accessories and beauty up for grabs, 100% of the proceeds made went to the families and victims affected by the devastating events that happened in May. In the end, an absolutely amazing £5,400 was raised.

Me and my lovely fella were actually in Manchester a few days before the sale, funnily enough sitting in the event venue, Jimmy's, having a beverage or two, when we considering coming back. Initially we discussed donating to the fund due to distance, but with all the love and consideration put in to the event, we knew it was something we couldn't miss!

Unsurprisingly we weren't alone with our thoughts, as when we arrived there were plenty of others ready for the three hour sale.

After a short time queuing, we were welcomed inside and directed towards the different spots within the bar.

Along with rails full to the brim with b-e-a-utiful clothing, there was a table of beauty treats (keep on readin' to see what I snapped up), a raffle and a visit from the Blow Ltd team, doing hair and nails for £5 (again for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund).

Not only that, an "Ella-Bee" cocktail had been especially created for the event for £5, with £1 of every sale being donated. As you can see below, we both very much enjoyed.

Despite being a sale with swoon-worthy items, the atmosphere was oh-so friendly and relaxed, with many shoppers (including ourselves), chilling by the bar and mingling after snapping up their goodies.

Megan and the Jimmy's team should be seriously proud of their achievements from the day. The event was an amazing act of kindness and such a thoughtful way to raise money for such a worthy cause.

From chatting to Megan, who made her way round the room making sure she spoke to everyone, it was clear that she's a genuine, kind gal. I've read her blog and watched her videos for a while now so it was great to finally meet her.

But what did I pick up?

Throughout the day, more items were added to the rails, so there was something from everyone. Being something of a beauty addict, I was pretty much in my element when I spotted the products below!

First things first, the Illamasqua Empower Palette is seriously dreamy (expect a post on this very soon). A quad featuring both nudes and darker tones with gorgeous, buildable formulas, this will come in very handy for evenings out.

I also got my mitts on a Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick from Mac in the bold rouge shade, Chateau M. I love me a good matte lip so I can see me getting a whole lot of wear out of this!

Next up, the Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon Crayon in Black Diamonds. I actually had my makeup done at Charlotte Tilbury during my previous visit to Manchester (I have my thoughts on the experience scheduled for later in the week!) and the makeup artist used this product which I adored!

Can you believe all of the above came to a crazy £9? Absolute bargains.

I then headed over to browse the clothes and found this dashing black Levis dress for only £15 (the last hour Megan very generously announced everything was half price).

It was a really special day and I'm so pleased we were able to make it down. Thank you again to the wonderful Megan for hosting such a special event!
