KIKO Haul.

Having spent a fair amount of time up in Newcastle recently, I've (on more than one occasion!) found myself browsing the aisles of KIKO. KIKO is a brand I was pretty unfamiliar with until earlier in the year, and having heard some serious reviews on their products, I naturally had to pick up a few to try out myself.

Established in 1997, the Italian brand offers a range of over 1,000 products at really accessible prices. As the store in Newcastle is moderately new to the area, many items were further reduced, making them even more appealing. But, despite their overall low price point, the quality is second to none and regularly compared to that of By Terry and MAC (particularly when it comes to their eyeshadows). Not only is this wonderful for the old bank balance, but it also allows you to experiment with different textures and shades without any concern over the quality.

Though the entire collection is seriously lust-worthy, the stores are also always pretty manic so it can be hard to get a proper look at everything. Having said that, I managed to pick up a few beauty-shaped treats that are well worth a mention...

The Eyeshadow Sticks were what originally drew me towards the brand. Many match the shade 05 Rosy Brown to the infamous By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Misty Rock. When you compare £6.90 to £29 for a pretty solid dupe in terms of colour, consistency and longevity, I think it's pretty obvious which one you're gonna go for. 'Course, 05 is a tricky one to snap up with it being sold out in store 90% of the time, so I instead opted for 33 Smoky Grey, a matte, grungy shade that looks oh-so pretty on the eyes. If you're not craving a dramatic look, the stick also boasts a buildable formula which naturally gives it a few extra brownie points and a full time slot in my beauty drawer.

Infinity Eyeshadow in 288 Mat Brown Taupe - £2.80 (normally £5.90)
This shade is me all over. I'm not really a fan of shimmery shadows, so this is spot on for days I'm looking to rock a smoky eye. When teamed with the Nars Pro Prime Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base you've got yourself one seriously long-wearing eye look, and, again, it wins in the buildable department. Essentially this is just an amazing, amazing product.

I picked this up as not only is it a total steal, but it's perfect for this time of year. A plummy, satin tone, it looks gorgeous with a nude lip and of course, your best knitwear.

3 in 1 Mat Effect Nail Polish - £3.50 (normally £4.90)
In case you didn't already notice, I'm really into the whole matte side of things, and not just in my eyeshadows. This mattifying polish is not only a cracker for all-over use, but works like magic if you're looking to sport an accent nail. Even better, it's formula is ideal if you struggle from nails that chip five minutes after painting them.

Are you a fan of KIKO? What products would you recommend trying out? Will you be purchasing any of the above?
