New Products.

The past few weeks I've been feeling a tad experimental and tried out some new, bad ass beauty products. Although, yes, I've classed this as a 'new products' post, I guess you could also describe it as a favourites as I've been seriously loving the lot.

Neal's Yard is a brand I've been wanting to sample for a while now, and what better way to do so than purchasing the award winning skincare set. I've incorporated the products into my daily routine the past month and I'm impressed, to say the least. Designed to revatalise, replensish and recharge, the award winning kit includes four travel sized treats and a sample sachet, all being organic, and fragrance, paraben and silicon free. Though I'm a fan the entire contents, it's the Wild Rose Beauty Balm that really stands out. With the recent heatwave (that has now unfortunately transformed into constant, torrential downpours), my skin was not really loving life - until this, that is. I think it's potentially my favourite beauty purchase of the entire year, it's really that good. A multi-functional product, it can be used as a cleanser, exfoliant or nourishing balm - and by golly does it excel at all three. Keep your eyes out as a full review of the set will be up on my blog, stat.

This time of year, who doesn't long for surfer-esque, effortless waves? I know I do. Whilst the Bumble Surf Spray is a total classic, I'd heard a thing or two about a potential dupe, courtesy of Schwarzkopf. At just over £4, it's a bit of a steal for 200ml of beach babe hair-giving goodness. Although my heart will always remain with Bumble, this is indeed a very good product. I like to apply to slightly damp, freshly washed hair, maybe throwing in a few plaits for good look, and I'm left with a good amount of volume, texture and curl. Definitely one to pick up on your next trip to Boots.

Basically, when it comes to doing my nails, I suck. Seriously. If it wasn't for Bourjois' 3D Gel Top Coat (post here), my nails would look a constant state. Anything that can make the job a whole lot easier gets a big thumbs up from me, meaning the newly launched accent nail wraps from imPress are my new best friend. Simply stick on, press and go - it really is as easy as that. But it gets better, they come in a variety of shades with a snazzy accent nail (as their name would suggest...). The fact there is zero drying/possible smudge time involved in the scenario makes them even more appealing, right?

If there's a brand that really rock it in the makeup department, it's Nars. I've used this on and off for a few years now, and this time round I was in-need of a new tube for my stash. If a light-weight, dewy base gets you excited, you'll seriously dig this. SPF 30 also means it's perfect for the days when the sun does choose to make an appearance. I'll be uploading an in-depth review very soon.

So I'm not really one to obsess over the whole contouring trend, but I'd heard quite a few comments withing the beauty world surrounding the Illamasqua Cream Pigments, particularly in the shade, Hollow. Having a complexion to envy Snow White, Hollow is known to be the perfect shade for adding definition to the faces of pasty peeps - something I would very much class myself as. This teamed with my Real Techniques Contour brush (only available in the Core Collection) is a match made in makeup heaven. Yep, you guessed it - a full review to follow, asap.

ESPA Book of Summer Beauty* - £25
Now this little kit of awesomeness has already graced the face of my blog. If you fancy reading the full details, click here, but to sum it up, it's basically all you need to achieve glossy hair and skin. No, really, it's that good.

What beauty bits have you snapped up recently? Anything you'd recommend checking out?

  1. Loved how you have done a round up of new products, I only tend to feature things I love but this is a great way to review.

I adore Hollow for contouring especially on a night out for a dramatic look.

    1. Thanks so much Kat! Really pleased you enjoyed the post.

I'm so glad that I purchased Hollow! Definitely a makeup bag staple x

  2. I'm really pale and struggle to find products to contour with (atm I'm using an eyeshadow) so I'm looking forward to your review of Hollow! The Neal's Yard beauty balm sounds lovely :) xx

    1. You would absolutely love this then Beth! Which brand & shade of eyeshadow are you using?

Oh goodness the beauty balm is hands down my favourite cleanser of all time, it's amazing, amazing stuff. Definitely pick it up if you get the chance x
