Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner

Exfoliating toners were fairly new on my radar up until recent months. Being a fan of the typical granual scrub such as the Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator (review here) I never felt the need to invest in the alternative form until coming across a collection of raving blog reviews during a (daily) blog reading session.

Designed to smooth, brighten and balance the skin, the Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner is to be used two or three times a week between cleansing and moisturising. Applied to a cotton pad and swept over the face, it works to rid of any unwanted dry patches, cleaning pores in the process. From using regularly over the past two months, I've found my pores are a lot clearer, my skin more even and my overall complexion looks brighter and healthier. Although I've continued to reach for Liz Earle's offering, the times I'm in need of a more skin-deep treatment, this is my best friend.

Containing salicylic, glycolic and tartaric acids, the toner is perfect for use in the evenings, as not only does it work it's magic whilst you slumber, but also avoids any contact of harsh sun rays which can cause havoc on chemical exfoliated skin.

With the colder months drawing closer, I know this is going to be a complete staple in my skincare stash.
