Five Essentials You Need In Your Handbag This Month

Summer is sadly drawing to a close, meaning my handbag must-haves for this month are not likely to be sticking around for much longer. The weather has been particularly changable as of late, meaning knowing what to throw in has become a task in itself. Having said that, the above goodies have been what I've been reaching for the most recently.

What handbag stash is truly complete without a trusty pair of sunglasses? Of course mine are not the Ray-Ban Clubmasters of my shadey-shaped dreams, however they manage to do the trick at hiding sun glare. Unfortunately, the current downpour is suggesting I won't be needing to carry these on me for much longer. Boo.

If you're a regular reader of my blog, you'll know just how much I love The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist. (Review here) A total beauty staple, the spritz works to cool, calm and moisturise the skin all in one. Along with using throughout the day as a quick refresh, I also like to apply first thing in the morning to help wake me up. £8 of pure awesome.

I suffer from frizz, reeeeal bad. Since chopping off a considerable amount of my hair, it's no longer such an issue, however the Bleach London Split Fix Serum still remains a handbag essential for me. (Review here) A lightweight oil, it can be used on both damp and dry locks to keep the dreaded stuff at bay, which is sorta, kinda, exactly what I need.

This Summer I've totally upped everything surrounding sun protection. Being naturally fair skinned, I really shouldn't be doing otherwise, and one product in particular I've been enjoying using is the Soap & Glory Make Yourself Youthful Sunshield Superfluid Facial SPF 50+. (Review here) Quite the title, but it really is excellent stuff. It doesn't break you out, offers high protection, and acts as a primer to any further coverage you apply to your face - what more could you want?

Finally, I've been trying to be a little more organised, what with going back to finish my degree in a matter of weeks and all that malarkey. A diary notepad has proven to help me on my way to achieving this goal, meaning keeping on top of blog/life/work related things is a hell of a lot easier. Not the most colourful of notepads, but then again, you haven't seen the inside of my wardrobe.

What essentials are currently stored in your handbag? Anything I need to be adding to mine?

  1. I can never go without having a lip balm in my handbag! A diary/notepad is always ever so useful to keep your life organised. I have to have one in my bag too, mostly so I know I can note any thoughts down that I will no doubt forget minutes later. The vitamin E face mist looks great, I now need to go have a spray in the body shop :).
