Bumble & Bumble Surf Wash Shampoo and Conditioner

I'm gonna start this post by stating one, significant thing. I ain't a straight hair kinda gal. Never have been, never will be. (Minus that time many moons ago when I first discovered straighteners..) Straight hair unfortunately just doesn't suit me. Not only that, but my locks never seem to manage to hold the style for longer than five minutes, meaning a lot of time/heat/product is required to try solve the issue. Bummer.

My hair is naturally quite thick and wavy, and I dig that. My only hang-up is that it can sometimes lack a little something in the texture department. I've tried many spritzes and stylers over the years, but nothing seemed to work. Until I discovered the Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray, that is. A definite runner for the best hair product ever, I've been hooked ever since. So imaginably, I was ridiculously excited when Bumble announced they would be adding a shampoo and conditioner combo to the mix.

The exact day they launched, I practically hopped, skipped and jumped over to Space NK for two bottles of the good stuff. And then headed straight home to test them out, naturally. That was around a year ago now, and I've since alternated between Bumbles various shampoos (reviews here and here) but after recently finishing my last bottle of the Seaweed rinse, I decided I needed the Surf Wash duo back in my life for the summer months.

The Bumble & Bumble Surf Shampoo & Conditioner do everything I could wish for in a hair rinse. The shampoo leaves the locks feeling incredibly clean, whilst the conditioner, although lightweight, adds in a good amount of moisture without weighing it down. The results are not crispy, nor anything too extreme - just subtle, beachy waves. The smell is also something I have to discuss. After using this, I genuinely can't help but sniff my hair. Kinda weird, but if you're hair smelt that darn good too, you wouldn't blame me for doing such a thing.

If your hair isn't in the best condition, it may be a good idea to alternate between this and another shampoo/conditioner combo. Not only will the set last a lot longer, but doing this will ensure your hair doesn't dry out. Admittedly easier said than done -  this stuff is pretty bloomin' addictive.

Coming in at £20.50 and £18.50, they certainly aren't the cheapest products out there, but I always find my Bumble products to last an eternity (which is a good thing, trust me!) so I personally don't mind parting with the cash for a seriously swishy, textured mane.

If you're not so keen on investing in the full set, you can pick up a mini kit with the Surf Spray for just £18 - which would also come in rather handy for any travelling you may be doing over the summer.

  2. Ooo, I've been seeing these around where I live for quite a lot cheaper in a few hidden gem shops I visit, but never persuaded myself to get them yet. I think I'll have to try them out now, I have incredibly thick hair myself and lightweight is a must in any conditioner I use!

    Thanks for the post :)
I'll be trying them out too! I found that the Argan of Morocco shampoo and conditioner (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Organix-Moroccan-Argan-Shampoo-385ml/dp/B0080ILMJM) was really great, I wrote about that a while ago when hunting for the perfect bathroom experience!

    1. I would definitely recommend giving them both a try! If I ever use other products to wash my hair I totally notice a difference and crave the texture the Bumble combo gives! x
