Newcastle Fashion Week - Day 1 & 2 Work Experience

I was lucky enough to get through the interview process for work experience at Newcastle Fashion Week, and after completing my second day, I have to say I am SO grateful for the opportunity.

It genuinely has been absolutely amazing, I've met so many brilliant people and had a total blast.
Yesterday I was lucky enough to act as personal assistant for the wonderful Caryn Franklin. Caryn is a highly influential individual in the fashion industry, so I have to admit I was initially a little nervous about being her PA. However I really shouldn't have been, as she is one of the sweetest people I've ever met.

She offered me her food numerous times, and when my iPhone ran out of charge she even let me use her charger (aww!).

It just shows that not everyone who achieves such success lets it get to their heads.

I also had the chance to meet the absolutely gorgeous Louise Wedderburn, along with Company Magazine editor, Victoria White, and ASOS Marketplace's Samantha Bennett.
(Apologies for the crappy iPhone photos!)

After the awesomeness of yesterday, I had low expectations that the day could be beaten, but to be honest today was even better!

I spent the day being PA to the super gorgeous and lovely Poppy Dinsey. Poppy is well known for her site, WIWT (which is freaking awesome, as I'm sure you all know!)

Like Caryn, Poppy is super down to earth, and I had such a great day spending time with her, she's so hilarious, which is always a bonus.

She gave two talks; one yesterday, the other today, both really insightful and interesting.

It's easy to see why she's achieved such great success, as she's incredibly clued up on the fashion industry and how it works.

I also had the chance to meet the rather charming Ollie Locke from Made In Chelsea (my girlfriends were all pretty envious of this!) and Lauren Pope from The Only Way Is Essex.

I look about five in this photo, however I can assure you that's not my actual age...

Ollie introducing Poppy ahead of her presentation.

One of the several catwalk shows, this one slightly more risque than the others...

So as you've probably summed up, I've had a pretty wicked two days and I'm so grateful for the opportunity. I only have more more day working for NFW sadly, however it's pretty likely that I'll be applying for next year, too.
